Damien started with us as a volunteer, and then a youth worker. He has now been an AHYP Team Leader since September 2019. His language skills are invaluable, as is his local knowledge of Alice Springs’ families. Damien looks after the logistics, ensuring a safe, learning and fun space for young people who attend the program. He supports the young people in learning to self-regulate, make informed decisions and create opportunities for them to be their best. Damien is a key role model for our young fellas, strong, fair, and young enough for them to imagine themselves being capable of such a position.
